Anyone who plays El Saler knows it is one of the best courses in the world, in a unique setting loved by everyone in Valencia: la Dehesa de El Saler.The course opened on 3 June 1968 and is a masterpiece of design by Javier Arana. There is an air of freedom as you walk from the tees down the fairways and onto the greens. It is precisely this air, the breeze from the nearby Mediterranean, which makes a round on this course such an enjoyable experience.The level of difficulty encountered depends largely on the strength of the wind, and your result may vary completely from one day to the next, partly because of where the flags are placed, but mainly because of the wind, a factor to be considered on any round of golf, but particularly at El Saler, which is located next to the Parador de Turismo hotel. The elevated greens measure 700 square metres each, so there is plenty of scope for choosing where to position the flag.
